° Our breeding colours consist of Italian, Pharoah, Rosetta, Gold & **rare Black**. Our breeding pen has 2 roos, one is Black and one is Gold, both boys are very active so all of these eggs have a high chance of carrying the black gene. We don't breed from any quail with a bad temperament, this ensures it is not passed on throughout their offspring.
° All photos you see are from our own bred birds, our latest hatch was 32 out of 36! Fantastic results from quality stock. We test our fertility bi-weekly to ensure our eggs have the highest chance of fertility before selling.
° Coturnix make the most perfect pets, due to their small size they can be housed in anything from a rabbit hutch to an outdoor aviary. They make a beautiful call sound which isn't too loud nor annoying so you won't have neighbours complaining. They are very inquisitive birds and with careful handling from a young age they will easily become hand tame. (Our birds love being hand fed and will happily get involved in the cleaning out process haha!)
° Japanese Coturnix lay eggs daily and in total lay around 200+ per year. We don't offer any supplemental lighting as we like them to have a break over winter, this will help in giving them a longer life span. We supplement their daily feed with mealworms, greens and herbs.
° Although we take pride in our packaging, we cannot guarantee hatch rate once they have been through the postal system. Once you receive your package, leave the eggs facing pointed end down for 24 hours at room temperature. This ensures the air sac is attached and settled before incubation.
