Mixed flock of large breed Orpingtons - 3 x Buff Hens, 4 x Gold Laced Hens and 1 x Gold Laced Cockerel. Lovely birds in their prime, Golds started laying July last year, and Buffs March this year.
They are just coming out of moult, so they are not in full feather but have lots of new shafts.
Generally get 5 eggs a day.
Very calm, contented birds and the cockerel is a gentleman - he does have his favourite hen but she has learnt how to deal with him. He has never been aggressive towards us - he actually crows when strangers are around, which proved very useful on one occasion.
They are not used to being overly handled, but are happy to be held when you need to catch them.
Never had red mite as I have treated the house and birds every fortnight as a precaution.
I am reluctantly selling as we are moving house and have to live in temporary accommodation for 6 months so will have no where for them to go.
I would like to sell them as a flock & they will come with remaining food, shavings, powder, mite spray and diatomaceous earth.
